Who We Are

Friends Across Frontiers (FXF) is a non-profit, international alliance of experienced professionals and credible social protection specialists and volunteers committed to making the world secure through a well established and effective systems of social protection. Formally organized in mid-2017, we work independently on each country programs but bound by a shared commitment and collectively working towards enhancing social protection mechanisms within member countries’ jurisdiction and across our borders.

Our current membership comes from the South East Asian Region – Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam, who also serves as our pool of experts in various areas of social protection such as health and pension insurance, social security, labor market intervention, and social assistance.

Our Focus Areas

We offer technical assistance to develop and strengthen social protection systems in low and middle-income countries, and provide practical support to communities in distress and displaced by armed conflict, natural disasters and catastrophic events locally and across the region. Our thematic areas of support are in:

We assist organizations and governments in policy development and advocate for evidence-based policy decisions and reforms that will improve access and accelerate the impact of social security systems through research and knowledge exchange.

Our Governance Structure

Friends Across Frontiers (FXF) is currently composed of four member countries – Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia. We adopt a three-tiered governance structure led by a global steering body that sets the direction of member country engagements and implemented locally by core group of experts, individual members and institutional partners.
